The House (Villa Tres Volcanes)

Villa Tres Volcanes, constructed in 2013, is in a gated community only 10-15 minutes by Uber from the Central Square of Antigua. Being removed from the city center offers peace and quiet. A robust Wi-Fi system, television, and a variety of games can entertain visitors when at the house.

Lily, who was Guatemalan born, lived in the United States most of her life. She purchased the building in 2021 with the intent of making this her dream home. Unfortunately, cancer shortened her life and she passed away early in 2025. Mary Ann and Bob acquired the house with the intent of maintaining and enhancing what Lily initiated. A bilingual speaking host is available to welcome and assist visiting guests to this boutique hotel-like setting.

This is no cookie cutter type dwelling. Each space has its own personality and is beautifully constructed. As you enter through the outer gate, a small garden patio area first awaits you. Then, upon passing through the front door, you're surrounded by a common area, which opens to the backyard. Because of Antigua's eternal spring climate, there's no need for a heating or air conditioning system at Villa Tres Volcanes.

The enclosed first floor, adjacent to the common area, is an open space combining the kitchen, dining and living rooms. From here you can ascend, via a snake-like staircase, to the second floor where three bedrooms, each with its own separate bathroom, a large common area and a porch with two hammocks await.
